Grab the Snow by Storm: Must-Try Winter Sports for Dare Devils

For true adrenaline addicts, winter and cold weather are not enough to accommodate them. The cool climate offers the perfect canvas to create the finest kind of brave art. All it takes is a sense of adventure and steel nerves to participate in this winter sport; travel insurance will not harm either! I have traveled the world and amassed a collection of the best adrenaline winter experiences. Grab the Snow by Storm: Must-Try Winter Sports for Dare Devils
Above and below

Contrary to popular belief, excitement can be found under cold weather. If you are ready for another truly worldly experience to Tignes in France for ice diving.

Expert divers put aside their thermal and wool jackets leaning on a dive device that lets them sink into the dark and silent frozen lake. And the best part is you can come too! The world beneath a thick layer of solid ice becomes alive because the air bubbles capture the glowing sunlight. If you can keep your screams (which no one will hear), this is said to be a charming and almost subtle experience.

Take it into the air

While it may not belong to the ‘winter sports’ category, travel insurance will still include the adrenaline pumping activity of the zip lining. La Tyrolienne is the latest attraction to reach the top ski resort in Trois Vallees. Skiers, snowboarders and all the common winter fans can finally fly for long periods of time as they actually zip from the ski areas of Orelle and Val Thorens.

Precisely, it will fly across the snow landscape at an altitude of 3230m, reaching speeds of up to 100km per hour. The experience is mentioned almost as closely as you can “imitate the journey of a hawk in flight” – perhaps also complete with screams.

Do not Knock it Until You Look For It

If need is the mother of discovery then boredom is surely her only child. Boredom is definitely to blame for the creation of the genius of Shovel Racing. However, it actually requires steel nerves, some level of unquenchable skill and thirst for adventure, which of course is a true magic combination.

After a long absence due to many unexpected plans and their results, Shovel Racing has returned! Practicing may or may not be necessary for this one, but entrants need only to take their trusty shovels, sit back and prepare to slide down the snow-covered slopes in hopes of achieving glory in the annual Racing Shovel World Championships held in February. Um, good luck? Grab the Snow by Storm: Must-Try Winter Sports for Dare Devils

Cold Will Not Stop Adrenaline Solidification

The adrenaline screams found when complaining against the worst that Mother Nature can pass to you are not at all like the others. The various activities available for the winter brave is proof that busyness is achievable, but may require some creativity and an open mind. Before you set out for the winter adventure, be sure to secure a good winter sports travel insurance so you can really watch out for the cold winds.

12 tips for flea market shopping

12 tips for flea market shopping

Endless stalls of invaluable heirlooms, modern gadgets and vintage clothing await you at a flea market but it’s so easy to miss out on these really treasured items. You could end up spending hours in one market stall and then have to speed through the rest, or you could get lost, wandering around in circles visiting the same stalls endlessly. It’s important to plan for the ultimate flea market shopping experience, and here are some ways to get the most out of your day.
Great tips for flea market shopping

1. Get a map
It’s not unheard of to get lost at a flea market which means missing out on some really great stalls so try source a map of the market ahead of time and plan your route accordingly. Get a feel for the market’s layout because most markets will generally place similar stalls in the same vicinity so you can decide where to go first. If you’re really diligent you can take note of the stalls you enjoyed or where you purchased items for a return visit another time.

2. Get there early
It’s always best to get to a market before the crowds arrive and while the stalls are still full and you can broswe the stalls and view the mehandise. Once your shopping is done you can enjoy the live enetrtainment or a bite to eat.

3. Make a day of it
A day at the flea market is a fantastic experience for the whole family so, rather than rushing through the stalls, make a day of it. Get in early for breakfast, take your time perusing the stalls while the children enjoy the fresh air and fun kids activities on offer. There are usually great discounts at the end of the day, so if you stick around, you’re bound to get some great deals.

4. Check out the entertainment
Flea markets often provide local musicians and entertainers with a really worthwhile platform to break into a new audience. It’s always encouraging to support the local talent and you might tap into an artist you’d never heard of before. Enhance your shopping experience with the day’s entertainment!

5. Take cash
Although there may be ATMs on site, the queues could be long and these portable ATMs often run out of cash. Added to this, some sellers won’t accept debit or credit cards so it’s worth taking cash – particularly smaller bills – to the market. Be sure to keep this in a secure bag which isn’t easily evident.

6. Wear comfortable shoes
Flea market shopping is not the time to break into your latest pair of high heels. Opt for a comfortable pair of walking shoes as you don’t want your market experience cut short because of painful feet.

7. Ask about pick-up policies
If you buy a big item, make sure you ask the seller about the pick-up policy. If you can only collect it in a day or two, make sure they will hold the item for you.

8. Choose your haggles
Don’t waste your, or the seller’s time haggling over a price if you’re actually not serious about buying. If you really do love the item and feel it’s somewhat overpriced, then a market is certainly the place to negotiate a price. Don’t be scared to try out your haggling skills but be courteous about it.

9. Go with an open mind
A flea market is not a retail store so don’t expect to find exactly what you want in mint condition. A market is the perfect place to find items with real potential so go in thinking of ways to re-purpose interesting finds, rather than passing them by. Cosmetic repairs are easy fixes so do some haggling and come away with a great bargain.

10. Don’t miss a good opportunity
If you find something you really love, it’s fine to take some time to consider whether it’s worth the price and haggle for the best deal, but if it’s something you really want, don’t walk away. Chances are, there will be a few people who visit the stall later and snatch it up.

11. Take a collapsible cart
If you’re going to take this market shopping seriously, then it’s worth taking a collapsible cart – or similar trolley device – with you. This frees up your hands, allowing you to browse easily and also means you won’t have aching arms carrying items just one hour in.

12. Check whether the market is pet friendly
If you couldn’t consider market shopping without your four-legged friend, then just check ahead if the market allows for pets. Many do cater for pets – on a lead – but make sure you clean up after your beloved pup.

5 Mistakes To Avoid When Growing Marijuana

The legal cannabis market of North America was valued at $ 6.7 billion in January 2017.

It’s an appealing idea to invest in that market, but to smokers, it might be more appealing to just grow the plant yourself. But if you get it wrong, you’ll end up with a disappointing crop.

Here are 5 key mistakes you must avoid when caring for your weed.

Not testing the soil pH
Acid to alkaline scale is measured with a unit called ‘pH’. Cannabis plants prefer a very slightly acidic soil, hitting around 5.5 to 6 on the pH scale.

The garden center where you buy the soil should be able to help you pick a suitable degree of acidity.

However, it’s still a good idea to test your soil to make sure it’s OK. Otherwise, your weed might not as much as you’d hoped.

Not testing the water pH
Just like with soil, cannabis is very sensitive to the pH of the water you use. For the best results, you want to be using water that’s between 6 and 7 pH.

This helps the plants absorb nutrients effectively, which in turn helps them grow.

If the water from your taps is too alkaline, you can add other substances or buy filters to lower the pH – but do not overdo it and push it too far the other way.

Overwatering your weed
If you were not a keen gardener before, do not fall for the common mistake of watering your plants too often.

They do not need to be topped up every few hours. If the topsoil feels dry to the touch, feel free to give them a splash – but if it’s still moist then do not add any more water.

Make sure that there’s adequate and unblocked drainage underneath the plants too, so that excess water can run out once the soil is soaked. Otherwise, it’ll pool at the bottom of your pots, which can cause problems.

Not keeping the plants warm
Cannabis does best in a warm climate. If you do not live in one, do not expect your plants to do very well outdoors.

How to grow weed if you’re in a cold country? Bring your plants into a greenhouse or other covered area, and kit it out with heat lamps. A target temperature of around 75 ° F is just about right.

Make sure there is decent ventilation, but not so much that you are getting cold from drafts. And if the plants are inside, remember to make sure there is also plenty of light.

Not thinking about the strains
There are hundreds of cannabis strains. You need to know what you’re growing for two very reasons.

Firstly, if you’re going to sell this, you need to know exactly what you’re selling.

Secondly, if you’re growing multiple strains you need to make a clear schedule detailing which strain is growing where, and research the different needs of each.

Cannabis strains can have very different requirements for healthy growth. So you need to be on top of what’s what, and make sure their needs are being met.

You plants may mature at different times, and you need to make sure the harvests are timely and efficient.

Good luck!
Growing cannabis is not as easy a task as it first may seem. But it can be hugely rewarding.

4 Easy Tips for Promoting Your Online Weed Content

According to Search Engine Watch, there are 7 reasons why and how content goes viral. These include content that is able to trigger emotions, positive sentiment such as the Ice Bucket Challenge, and people’s natural tendency to share powerful ideas.

For those who have a limited marketing budget, this is also a cost-effective option. You can adjust your bids as low as $ 1 / day. This means you do not have to spend a lot just to get eyeballs to your website.

3. Work with Influencers

Business Dictionary defines influencers as individuals who can affect others’ purchase decisions. They can do this because of their authority (real or perceived), knowledge, position, or relationship.

If you can network with influencers in your niche and get them to share your content, you automatically get access to their followers. If you’re an influencer yourself, it becomes a mutually beneficial partnership. Your combined viewers obviously increased exposure for both parties.

Now, if you’re still working on becoming an influencer, you may want to ask a contributor on their site. If it’s a blog about weed brownies, you can write a related post or do a video reviewing pot brownies.

4. Try Retargeting

An easy way to promote your content is retargeting. If you’re not familiar with the concept, it means getting visitors who have read one or some of your posts and luring them back to your website.

This is usually done with ads. Tagged visitors will be shown banner ads that will hopefully entice them to check your site again. Retargeting can also be accomplished with email marketing.

4 Fun and Different Team Building Games for 2017

Say it to us: No more boring team building games this year.

2017 will be fun, fun and fun. We know that. We claim it.

You have to claim it too.

After all, are not you bored with fallen beliefs and other team building horror activities? Do not you want a different team-building experience – that does not make you feel angry every time you think about it?

We hear you

That’s why we have compiled a short list of fun games and different team games that are really the furthest thing from lame.

Man vs Zombie
This is a tag game but with zombies.

Initially, one player is randomly selected to become “Original Zombie” (OZ) while the rest plays as human.

After the OZ tag of another player, he turned into a zombie. Zombies must mark humans every 48 hours or they are out of the game.

Humans, on the other hand, can defend themselves with socks and arrows. The game ends when all humans have been marked and turned into zombies or when humans last long enough for all the zombies to starve.

You can use the official Goucher-Style rules or modify them to fit your game. Since 2005, Human vs. Zombies have been played in schools, camps, neighborhoods, libraries, and conventions around the world.

Sumo wrestling
We know. Charlie’s Angels is a long time ago. 2000 to be precise.

But if you ask us about our favorite bit in the movie, not where Drew, Cameron, and Lucy kick everybody’s butts. Yes, they are pretty pretty while doing that and all but our favorite part is where Tim Curry and Billy Murray squares with a sumo fat suit.

As the team building game goes, this one is pretty easy. You only need a few fatty sumo fat suits and an emergency dohyo (ring sumo).

Now, the goal is to grapple with your opponent and force him out of the ring. Oprah friendly talk optional.

There are two teams. A member of each team put him out in a Sumo match. One match is equal to three matches and each match winner receives one point.

The team with the highest score at the end is declared the winner.

Blind Wine / Food Tasting
This one needs a bit of preparation but the end result is worth it.

You need a variety of drinks and food and blindfolds. Tip: Consider food allergies while choosing foods / drinks for this game.

The team that can guess the most items win. You can also increase the difficulty level of this game so the team answers a trivial question before they can move on to the next table or item.

Challenge
This is a Jeopardy style game in which three contestants fight to get a lot of cold and hard cash.

And no, you do not have to clean your encyclopedia for this. Remember, boring is not allowed here so you can relax and have fun.

Like Jeopardy, there are boards with several categories. Each category has a different point value. One of the contestants will choose the category but someone can press the bell to answer it.

Of course, having a quick hand is an advantage but only if you can answer the question correctly. The game goes to the individual with the highest score.

How about you? What is the most fun you have in team building activities? Let us know in his comments.

First wooden free-form houses Museum of Bread!

First wooden free-form houses Museum of Bread!

COOP HIMMELB(L)AU designed PANEUM – Wunderkammer des Brotes is the first wooden building in free form!
Meticulously planned, this customer information centre and event forum for the company Backaldrin in Asten, Austria, is an iconic structure comprising two elements: a box-shaped plinth building with foyer and event rooms that can be used for a variety of presentations, receptions or workshops for up to 120 visitors and the Wunderkammer des Brotes (Museum of Bread), a two-storey freeform exhibition area floating on top. The square base building shows a cast-in-place concrete façade while the rounded wood structure of the museum is clad with stainless steel shingles.

A centrally chiselled circular atrium is at once the cynosure of all eyes as it is flanked by a robust spiral staircase that invites visitors to pause awhile and take in the exhibited items from various perspectives. The stair provides access to the two exhibition levels, where the objects are displayed with the help of walls, tables, and cabinets that are integrated into the architecture. It further allows for striking vertical displays that take on a chandelier-like appearance, adding on to the visual appeal of the commanding building. The raw aesthetic of the interior is augmented by its self-supporting wood shell with its layers of cross-laminated timber and the natural light that filters in from above the atrium. This method of construction enables the realization of the free form and the high degree of prefabrication with 3D CNC technology that is precision-driven and cuts valuable construction time. It is a step into the future of construction; as Design Principal, COOP HIMMELB(L)AU, Wolf D. Prix says, “3D plotting, 3D milling and building with robots – that is the future of building.”
